Charis Christian School provides education which contributes to all aspects of development. Personal ambition and organisational skills are important and we seek to develop the widest range of talents in our learners.
At Charis Christian School, we follow a phonetic reading program from Grade RR up to Grade 7 as contained in the Accelerated Christian Education program.
The learning materials used are provided by ACE which meet the outcomes and assessment standards as prescribed in the Revised National Curriculum Statement.

Preschool with Ace and Christi – Reading Readiness Program
The preschool with Ace and Christi programme is the first building block towards learning to read. The Grade R learners are equipped with the necessary skills that prepare them to be ready to learn to read and write.
The programme includes: Daily instruction manuals, sixty learner workbooks, display, number train, goal cards. Songs, coordination development, reading readiness, progress charts and progress reports.
ABC’s of ACE – Learning to read Program – Guaranteed! The ABC’s with Ace and Christi learning to read programme is the second building block on the journey towards literacy. This multi sensory phonics programme is structured for physical, academic and spiritual development.
The school is an active member of the South African Christian schools Sport Association (SACSSA), which is responsible for organizing sport in a professional manner.
A wide variety of events to choose from ensures participation for all. Staff members involved in coaching encourage “Best of my ability” participation and enjoyment of good sportsmanship.
Opportunities are given for learners to discover and enrich their creativity, through a large variety of activities.
Horse Worx focuses on grade RR to grade 1 learners and help improve the following in your child:
One half hour to an hour class per week during school terms.

The Creare Training Centre is a ministry that visits our school weekly.
Classes are given in Music, Drama, Dance, Art, Multi-Media and Word school, during school hours or in the afternoon for those who are in aftercare.
