Summary of School Fees
Charis Christian School was founded in 1997 by a close-knit Christian community North of the Magalies. The founding desire was to provide high quality Christian-based education in English and the school was one of the first private school in the area. Since then, the school operates from the same location at the corner of Lavender and Sage roads in Wonderboom. Charis Christian School provided thousands of children with a solid primary education foundation.
The innovation and creativity that gave form to the school is a core element of the school and its daily activities. Each team member approaches education with a creative attitude to best accommodate and address the unique individual needs of children. We are passionate about excellence in education, and a strong advocate for small classes and individual attention. We maintain an average ratio of 15:1 with fifteen children per teacher in all our Grade RR to 7 classes.
As one of the few English medium schools in the area, Charis Christian School continues rendering a valuable primary education service to families in our community.
Learning to Read is an excellent phonetic reading program that helps prepare the young child for reading and mastering reading in the English language. This reading program is one of the flagship products of the ACE curriculum and renowned worldwide for Its success.
Children in Grades 2 to 7 continues their education in English with Afrikaans as first additional language.
Following a Christian ethos, we value and promote good morals and ethical behaviour. Our Code of Conduct emphesize respectuful, responsible, sensible and tolerant interaction. Our curriculum equip children with a Biblical worldview, teaching Godly living and character development. As a Christian School, attendance of Christian activities like prayer and song is compulsory for all children and teachers.
Christian Flag
I pledge allegiance to Christ my Saviour who shed His blood for me. I declare Jesus Christ my Lord and Master and by His grace I will serve Him faithfully forever.
The National Flag
I pledge allegiance to South Africa my country. May God’s will be done and His kingdom come in the lives of every citizen that we may live God fearingly and peacefully one with another.
The Bible
I pledge allegiance to the Bible. God’s Holy Word; it will be a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path; as I meditate therein daily, His word will become alive in my heart and I will not sin against Him.
Developing God-given potential and providing a strong educational foundation for each child requires a safe, supportive and productive environment. Creating this conducive environment is the primary focus of the Code of Conduct.
The aim of the Code of Conduct is to establish and maintain order and discipline within the school. Although agreement to this Code of Conduct is compulsory for all registrations, it is the contribution of every person at the school that assist in creating a positive environment for the sake of our children’s education and future.
