What is ACE?

Founded in 1970, Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) is a globally successful education programme. The Biblical curriculum was developed by founder Drs. Donald and Esther Howard. The ACE motto is: “Reaching the world for Christ, one child at a time.”

ACE, also known as the School of Tomorrow, is an individualized, character-building curriculum and promotes reasoning and critical thinking skills. The programme is aligned with the South African school curriculum and is well suited for home schooling and mission schools too.

Unique Educational Approach

ACE Ministries’ comprehensive educational system is driven by dedicated individuals who motivate and support parents in their quest to help their children reach their maximum potential in school and in life.

For more than three decades, ACE has delivered a successful Christian-based international schooling system that provides a rewarding education alternative, relative to learners’ needs. This program utilizes results-driven processes rather than conventionally applied time-focused education curriculum.

ACE recognizes that each child has a unique learning style with God-given abilities and talents and has developed a learning approach that accommodates learners’ individual capabilities.

The curriculum makes it possible for the learner to achieve their full academic potential. This is the foundation upon which future learning is built.

From preschool to grade 7, each learner discovers how to:

  • set goals and meet deadlines
  • develop critical-thinking skills
  • think creatively and independently

The ACE program covers the critical outcomes and minimum standards of the Curriculum Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS) as prescribed by the Department of Education in South Africa. This includes Learner and Teacher Support Materials (LTSM’s).

ACE Events

ACE Ministries host a number of exciting, life-changing events throughout the year. These events are aimed at different groups including learners, educators, parents and leaders.

All Africa Student
Convention

The AASC is an annual event that is held over a period of one week.  High school learners from across Africa (and even Scandinavia) come together to compete in the events in a variety of areas.

International Student
Convention

The International Student Convention is a “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity for students from around the world to meet and compete in a variety of events.  Students who excel at the annual All Africa Student Convention are nominated to represent Africa at the ISC.

Christian Educators’
Convention

The Christian Educators’ Convention is held in various venues around South Africa during the month of March.  School staff are encouraged and motivated by dynamic speakers and receive excellent training during the various workshop sessions.

Administrators’
Seminar

The Administrators’ Seminar is an annual event that affords leaders of Christian schools and churches the opportunity to relax, meet with and make friends, and be encouraged by inspiring speakers.
