We nurture individual character and potential development
School is so much more than just teaching different subjects to young minds. It is more than just offering study material and lessons. School is also a place where a healthy social environment and enthusiastic teachers helps nurture character and potential development.
2020 Registrations open: Our application process helps determine school-readiness of your child for Grade RR, R and 1.
Every year an estimated one million kids start their first school day in South Africa. Finding the right school is as important. It’s just as important to ensure your child starts at the right level for Grade RR, Grade R or Grade 1. We are still open for registrations and the application process helps evaluate the level of school-readiness for children aged four to seven in 2020.
The history and location of Charis Christian School and the meaning of the word ‘Charis’.
Established in 1997, Charis Christian School was one of the first private schools in the northern suburbs of Pretoria. The school is situated 400 meters from the corner of Sefako Makgatho (previously Zambesi) drive and Lavender (Old Warmbaths/R101) road. The school serves families with quality education and a gracious inner-strength for 22 years.
Pre-primary prepares a child for school and reading readiness.
During the early childhood years, vocabulary and personal interaction are critical for brain development. Using symbols, stories, songs and rhymes sparks neuron activity and helps develop neural networks in the brain. Grades RR and R help improve cognitive ability, language skill, and expand vocabulary in preparing learners to learn how to read.
One of the outstanding characteristics of Charis Christian School is the individual attention learners receive. As a private school, our average ratio of fifteen learners per teacher enables us to give each child personal support. Following the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum, our approach to educational excellence is beneficial to the holistic development of learners.
